3、elopingprofitable,new relationships with small to mid-sized commercial customers and on continuing our responsive,multi-lingual services to retail customers.As a result,core deposits increased 27%over 2003 for a total of$2.28 billion a historic high.Healthy Growth DepositsTotal deposits equaled$4.52

4、 billion,a 37%rise over 2003.Businessdeposits registered a 30%increase,reflecting the success of severalinitiatives:targeted business checking campaigns in our branch network,expanded outreach by our loan officers,and a competitivepricing structure.We also enhanced our online business banking toensu

5、re that our customers can obtain their financial information when they need it.With the acquisition of Trust Bank,we welcomed 4,000-plus newretail deposit customers.Our in-store banking program,through a partnership with 99 Ranch Market,continued to thrive.Also in 2004,we became the first California

6、 bank to introduce the Greater China Investment Index CD,with returns linked to a widely known Asian stock market index.We focus on deposit growth not only to nurture future performance,but to provide a stable,low-cost base to support loan growth a continuing priority for the Bank in 2005.03Core Dep
