2、k UK,we can see significant progress being made towards the UK governments ambitious energy transition targets set out in Clean Power 2030,2035 Nationally Determined Contributions(NDC)targets,and the Net Zero 2050 pledge.The long-term outlook offers genuine cause for optimism,even though net zero is
3、 likely to be reached only in the decade after mid-century.To achieve these targets within the time frames outlined by the government creates a pressing need to amplify our efforts.The last year has been challenging,marked by economic uncertainty and geopolitical instability,which have notably impac
4、ted the results outlined in this report.However,we are witnessing renewed momentum in capital deployment and project devel-opment.Recent initiatives like Allocation Round 7(AR7)show the art of the possible.AR7,the largest renewable auction in the schemes history,secured a record 8.4 GW of offshore w
5、ind capacity along with significant solar and onshore wind capacity a grand total of 14.7 GW across all renewable projects.The silo debates around the UKs energy transition,focusing narrowly on individual elements rather than the whole system,come at the risk of progress.We need to break the cycle o
