5、rt examines key changes in the economic status of the American middle class from 1970 to 2023 and its demographic attributes in 2022.The historical analysis is based on U.S.Census Bureau data from the Annual Social and Economic Supplements(ASEC)of the Current Population Survey(CPS).The demographic a

6、nalysis is based on data from the American Community Survey(ACS).The data is sourced from IPUMS CPS and IPUMS USA,respectively.The CPS,a survey of about 60,000 households,is the U.S.governments official source for monthly estimates of unemployment.The CPS ASEC,conducted in March each year,is the off
