4、,limited financing,and reduced government support policies for oilseed producers.2 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Mexicos central bank recently revised the countrys 2026 economic growth forecast upward to 1.6 percent,citing expansion in domestic consumption and increased exports.Accordingly,demand for oilseeds a
5、nd products particularly soybeans and derived products is expected to continue rising as Mexicos population and livestock sector expand.Mexico is projected to remain a significant net importer of oilseeds and meals,with total imports forecast to increase in marketing year(MY)2026/27 to meet growing
6、domestic requirements.Domestic oilseed production for MY 2026/27 is forecast at 640,000 metric tons(MT),up 5 percent from the previous year.Soybean production is expected to increase modestly,supported by continued demand from the domestic crush industry despite its limited share of total use.Rapese
