1、About the Report AU Optronics Corp.began publishing our Environmental Brochure in 2004 and the Environmental,Health,and Safety Report in 2005.Since 2006,the company has been issuing Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR)Reports on an annual basis.These reports provide detailed information on the effor

2、ts and achievements of AUO in economic,social,and environmental indicators.The company adopted the internationally recognized reporting standards,the 2006 edition of G3 Global Reporting Initiatives Sustainability Reporting Guidelines,as a framework and reference basis for CSR Report in 2007 to fully

3、 disclose AUOs accomplishments.In sync with international trends,the company reported economic,environmental,and social strategies in accordance with the GRI G4 Comprehensive starting in 2014 to demonstrate our determination of sustainable development.Boundary and Scope This report covers the achiev

4、ements and performance of AUO in the area of global corporate social responsibility from January to December 2015.Most indicators encompass manufacturing sites in Taiwan,China,Singapore,and Europe accounting for 100%of the companys total revenue.If indicators of other regions are involved,it will be

5、 indicated.In addition to AUO,important information pertaining to subsidiaries and suppliers is also included to disclose the sense of responsibility and influence of the AUO value chain.The data for 2015 included in this report has been verified by an independent third-party and is presented based

6、on international generic indicators.Provided estimates are indicated in the corresponding chapters.The financial data has been audited and confirmed by the accounting firm KPMG and is provided in New Taiwan Dollars.Greenhouse gas emissions amounts have been verified by DNV Business Assurance Co.,Ltd
